Colette Masson began her career in 1966 when she met the lyric singer Régine Crespin. For forty years, she photographed the shows and the artists which marked the history of dance and lyric art in France, from the Garnier Opera house, to the Champs-Elysées Theater, or the festivals of Aix-en-Provence and Orange, from Nureyev and Pina Bausch to Placido Domingo and Pierre Boulez. The work she did with Maurice Béjart resulted in more than a thousand negatives that cover the entire career of the artist. Roger-Viollet is the exclusive distributor of Colette Masson's production -close to 600,000 negatives - worldwide.
