What should I know about prints?
All our prints are chromogenic prints (silver process from a digital file) on photo paper. A perfect marriage between historical know-how and modern digital technologies, they will satisfy the most demanding in terms of quality and conservation.
Each print reproduces the image in the state where it is visible on the screen. However, after each order we examine the image file, and can slightly retouch it in order to provide you with the best print possible. Some images, damaged by time, show defects (scratches, stains, dust, etc.); before printing them we erase most of these marks of time, while/still respecting the history of the image. We deliver to you images clean and faithful to them.
Watermarked "Roger-Viollet" logo on digital images will not appear when printed.
Our prints are not numbered, unless otherwise stated.
For each print, a certificate of authenticity on which is affixed our dry stamp "Roger-Viollet" will be sent to you separately by post.
